Ramachandran, the man from Payyanur who became an overnight internet sensation for his resemblance with PM Modi is all set to feature in a movie. The film made by a group of pro-mode youngsters is about demonetisation and how it changed the society. The makers even changed their script to include Modi’s character. The producers K H Venu and Prasad cast Ramachandran, having seen his photograph from a newspaper.
Last year, Ramachandran went trending on the internet as someone posted his picture on facebook while he was waiting for his train. He was going back to Bangalore after visiting his mother in Kannur district of Kerala. His life turned quite dramatically by the end of that train journey and out of nowhere, he was in the middle of fame. People requested for selfies, channels did interviews and for someone who preferred a quiet life, this was not very welcome. Ramachandran was forced to shave and alter his looks and retreated to his village.
The Kannada film named ‘Statement 8/11’ is made on a humble budget, was scheduled to be released on April 27, but has been put on hold due to technical reasons.
