Adil, along with his three friends, dressed up as militants, with fake AK 47 guns and threatened the fiance of the girl. In a terrorist affected place like Jammu and Kashmir, it was a very believable disguise.

But the plan failed as villagers got hold of Adil while the other three managed to escape. The locals made videos of Adil with smartphones and later he was handed over to Jammu and Kashmir police whom were working on an operation ‘All-Out 2’ meant to capture top 14 commanders of terrorist organisation in Kashmir.
It was a late night questioning that revealed the motive. He said that the girl was pressurised by her father to marry the other guy, against her wishes. The police have charged him only for trespassing which comes as a relief to Adil. His friends who escaped the scene might also be captured later and charged with the same offence.
Cops are not sure whether Adil can marry his lover or not but said they could understand his pain and desperation.
