The main perpetrator of Mumbai terror attack Hafiz Saeed seems to have found support in Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee(PSGPC). His political front Milli Muslim League (MML) held a convention at Nankana Sahib, which is the birth place of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev.

Sources indicate that the general Secretary of PSGPC, Gopal Singh Chawla took initiative in organising the event. Hafiz Saeed and MML president Saifullah Khalid attended the convention. It is more than a guess to assume at this point that the main intention of the meeting was to amass the support of Sikhs In Pakistan, with elections about to come there.
The speeches in the meeting seemed to have been focused on stirring up the emotions of people using anti – India talks and keep them United using the name of Kashmir and Khalistan. A few weeks before, Pakistan had declined the registration of MML and the Americans have already placed it in the list of terrorist Organisations. Hafiz Saeed, who has a price tag of ten million dollar on his head was careful to avoid photographs being taken. Chawla has been known for having close relation with Saeed and looks like he has pledged the support of his community to help Hafiz’s party.
