SHOCKING!!!Man kills wife in broad daylight

In what can be deemed as a shocking incident, in broad daylight a man has killed his wife. Here are the details of the case.

Jeethu, a 29-year-old Thrissur woman was torched by her husband in broad daylight by her husband. Several people, including her father Janardanan, were watching the incident, but none helped her.

Payyappilli Beeraju had doused his wife with petrol before setting her ablaze on Sunday.

The incident took place when Jeethu was emerging from Kudumbasree-a self-help group’s office along with her father. The duo had gone to the office to repay the loan taken by her.

Beeraju doused his wife with petrol when she walked out of the office. Jeethu ran away with her husband behind with a lighter. Although her father tried to block him, Beeraju wriggled out and torched Jeethu.

Besides a person coming to put out the flames with water, none of the people came forward to help the victim.

It was with great difficulty that Jeethu was taken to the Thrissur Medical College. She had 80% burn injuries and breathed her last on Tuesday morning.

After the crime, Beeraju fled the scene according to the police. The police have recovered his bag from the scene of the crime, and a suicide note was found in it. “We are trying to nab him before he ends his life,” SP Sudheeran, the Pudukkad CI said.

Beeraju, who is working as a welder and Jeethu who is a data entry Operator-cum accountant had married in 2012, but they had no children. They were staying separately for some time following marital discords.

Meanwhile, the State Human Rights Commission has taken a suo motu case in the incident. The Commission member K Mohan Kumar has directed the Thrissur Range IG and the district Kudumbasree coordinator to conduct a probe into the incident and submit reports within three weeks to the commission.
