Good shopping days will soon be back. Flipkart has announced its ‘Big Shopping Days’- a four day sale that offers heavy discounts scheduled between may 13 and may 16. The discounts will be offered across a variety of products from smart phones, TV’s, Laptops and other appliances. The discounts, they claim can go up to 70 percent. Gadgets like laptops, cameras, power banks and tablets will be available at a discount of up to 80 percent.

It is interesting that the offer is coming at a time when companies like Walmart are planning to buy stakes in Flipkart. Walmart’s offer, if the rumours are true, is about $ 12 billion to acquire Flipkart. Flipkart’s rival, Amazon may have tried to take a 60 percent stake in the company too. The big BIllion Shopping Days will surely boost Flipkart’s image further and make it more desirable.
Flipkart is throwing some changes in this years sales. The e-commerce giant said it will arrange a Kids corner where customers can play and stand a chance to win prices like laptops and phone at Re 1. The buyers also stand a chance to get a full cashback on their shopping day purchases. No cost EMI options and other usual offers will definitely be on the show too.
It so happens that when one e-commerce site launches their mega discount sales, the other companies will respond with similar moves. So Amazon and Snapdeal’s shopping days might just be around the corner. Good shopping days ahead for all buyers.
