Dibru-Saikhowa National Park is found in the eastern corner of Assam, very close to the border of Arunachal pradesh. Three different streams meet here and flow as one Brahmaputra here. Among the five different national parks in Assam, Dibru Saikhowa offers a unique mix of wildlife and river cruise experience.

Houseboats for cruise are often stationed at the Gujjan ghat and breakfasts are offered here. After that the boat leaves for Brahmaputra. Brahmaputra is known as Lohit here. This cruise of about 15-20 kilometres will take travellers to different places. As the cruise go through, there will be different snacks offered on the board and even fishes are caught and fried instantly.
As we move through we can see different migratory birds flying across the river body and taking a sun bath at the shore. Cormorants, Kingfishers and sandpipers are very commonly found here. The White winged wood duck and Hornbills are spotted less often. Gangetic dolphin species which is one among the rare remaining species of river dolphins may also be spotted here. On the banks of the river we can see a ghats with picket bots used by the local residents. The people here are friendly and cooperative and we feel comfortable throughout the journey.
