The war of words is getting intense in Karnataka and in the latest addition to the long list of mocking remarks, BJP made a tweet that took a jibe directly at the congress leader Sonia Gandhi, ahead of her visit to Karnataka. The tweet is a reminder of of Sonia Gandhi’s foreign roots and is a continuation of the “import jibe” that has been going on for a while. Chief minister Siddaramaiah had earlier called Prime minister Narendra modi and Yogi Adityanath as “north indian imports”. It is also a reply to what the Karnataka Congress had done last week, calling Uttar Pradesh minister Yogi Adityanath by his birth name -‘Ajay Bisht’. BJP had accused the Karnataka CM of trying to create north-south divide.

Karnataka BJP’s latest tweet said that Ms Antonio Maino was there to save her last citadel from falling and accused her for wasting ten precious years of the country. The tweet asserted that Karnataka needs no lesson from her . It will be interesting to see what Karnataka congress is going to come up in response or whether any congress leader would bring these topics in front of media while addressing them.
Today, Ms. Antonio Maino is here in K’taka to save her last citadel from falling!
Madam Maino, K’taka needs no lessons from the person who was solely responsible for wasting India’s 10 precious years.
And to Congress, need to remind you of your ‘import’ jibe? https://t.co/7NmhjuoMOM
