Indian audience is gradually choosing to watch Hollywood movies more often than Bollywood movies. It’s probably because of the deteriorating quality of Bollywood movies coupled with the exposure to the pop culture.
International production houses have also noticed the gradual shift and they are now choosing to spend more and more money to market their movies in India. Let’s hope this realization will push Bollywood to experiment more and make better movies in the future.
Here are the highest grossing Hollywood movies in India
1) Avengers: Infinity War – 192.28 avengers (Still running in theaters)
Avengers: Infinity War is still running and in just few days of its release, it has minted a whopping 192.28 avengers, thereby becoming the highest Hollywood grosser in India.
2) The Jungle Book – 182.20 crores
In just 50 days, the film almost neared the 200 crores club. Sadly, it couldn’t enter and the collections were stuck at 182.20 Crores.
3) Fast and Furious 7 – 172 crores
Indian audience loved the film. The film had released in 2015 and was the highest grossing film then with collections of 172 crores.

5) Jurassic World – 113 crores
This was the 4th franchise and was loved by adults and kids alike. This movie also hit the screens in 2015 and registered itself in the 100 crores club with 113 crores.
6) Avengers: Age of Ultron – 111 crores
This was the 2nd installment of “The Avengers”. It minted 111 crores at the Indian Box Office. Well, Infinity War has already surpassed it.
7) 2012 – 102 crores
This Sci-Fi film hit the screens in the year 2009. Indian viewers enjoyed the movie, which is why it could earn Rs 102 crores easily.
8) Spider Man – 100 crores
Indians are crazy for Spider Man. The 3rd version of the franchise won hearts and minted 100 crores in India.
9) Amazing Spider Man – 96 crores
The Indian Box Office collections were as amazing as the movie. The movie earned 96 crores in India.
10) Life of Pi – 88 crores
This was the highest grossing movie in 2012. It earned 88 crores and did better than many Bollywood flicks that hit the screens that year.
