Central Bureau of Investigation has reportedly confirmed rape charges against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. According to the report the girl was taken to the MLA’s house in Uttar Pradesh’s Makhi village on 4 June last year, by luring her with a job offer. Then she was raped by (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar while his accomplice, Shashi singh, watched the door.

The CBI also seems to have found the response of Local Police questionable and their actions helping in diluting the victims complaint. According to the reports, Local Police didn’t mention the name of the MLA in the report even though the victim had repeatedly told them so. They also delayed the medical procedures and did not send victims clothes or vaginal swab to the Laboratory for verification on time.
An Englih daily reportedly quote CBI: “The girl was raped on June 4 by the MLA after she was brought to his house by Shashi Singh on the pretext of providing her a job. Between June 4 and June 10, the girl didn’t speak as she had been threatened. On June 11, she was abducted by three persons — Shubham Singh, Awadh Narayan and Brijesh Yadav. From June 11 to 19, the girl was kept mostly in an SUV and repeatedly gang-raped by these three while on the move”.
The survivor demanded death penalty for the accused. “I demand death penalty for BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar for raping me and murdering my father” was her exact words. The case had caused a massive public outrage after the girl tried to set herself on fire in front of Yogi Adityanth’s house. It was then transferred to CBI.
