The polling in the state of Karnataka is well underway but not without some bumps and raids.
A BJP leader from Hampinagar was allegedly attacked by Congress workers. Congress President Rahul Gandhi speaks to KC Venugopal and to be in touch with party leaders.
Another embarrassing moment for the Congress party was when the Election Commission officials seized autos & cash in a polling booth. The official had seized Rs. 50,000 from a polling booth in Ramanagara.
It was alleged that a Congress worker was distributing the money.
20 autos were seized in Raichur and were used to ferry voters.
Meanwhile, the Congress has raised their routine EMV bogus-stating that the machines were faulty.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah exudes confidence in Congress party’s victory, and is sure that he will win from both his seats-Chamundeshwari & Badami.

VOTING TURNOVER
24% voter turnout till 11:00 AM
Like in the past, the voter turnover in Bengaluru is of concern. The city dwellers are yet to step out of their homes to vote. In the past 2 Assembly elections, there was only a 50% turnout. Will the city break the trend this year and vote in huge numbers.
India cricketer Anil Kumble too, has come to cast his precious vote.
This year, the Election Commission voter turnout for the city is 75%.
