Motorola has had folding phones before ! Remember the old razr series ? It was stylish and sleek but years have gone by and now when we talk about foldable phones nobody is thinking about those.

Samsung is racing ahead with its foldable phone ideas and might soon get to production in the early part of next year. But the latest news that set the tech world abuzz is that Motorola has got the patent for a foldable phone /tablet. The patent was filed in 2016 and was granted in last March.
As we speak we are not sure if this patent will ever get to a production stage but if Motorola can do that there are some exciting things about the phone. The phone can fold out in to a tablet and lay completely flat on the table with the screen facing outside also to be a part of that one big screen. So that will be really a huge screen and will be different from Samsung’s phone where one among the three screen won’t make the bigger screen.
Another interesting point is that it wants to add a case cover over the smart phone which will protect the screen and then fold over to support it as a stand and will even provide wireless charging. I have to say the concepts sound very interesting but we will really have to see if this becomes a reality.
