Volkswagen Touareg, ever since its inception in2003 as the first off-roader of the VW group, has been a mainstay of the company. But the current version of the car was getting old and the German Luxury brand realised its high time they brought some change. Here is the all new VW Touareg.

You are definitely not going to miss a Touareg among a group of cars. It’s eye catching while retaining the distinct Volkswagen flavour. The stance is wider now and the roofline has become lower. The huge horizontally slatted grille gives it an imposing face along with the cool LED headlamps. The wrap around tail lamps as a bit reminiscent of Q5 but works well overall.
Digital dashboards are becoming something not much to talk about these days, but VWs dual screen cockpit display is definitely a class apart. It is integrated in such a fashion that it gives you the illusion of being a single pane of glass. The digital drivers display is 12.3 inches while the central infotainment is 15 inches. The menus and options are a breeze to use and you get the normal bells and whistles like sat nav , apple car play and android auto. There is also a digital heads up display to add to the comfort. The quality of the materials used is a mix bag though, as you cans find some cheap plastics in the door panel and at a few other places.
The Touareg will have two engine options of V6 engines. You get to chose between the 228 bhp or the 282 bhp and soon a six cylinder petroleum engine will join the range. The engine glides effortlessly and is powerful enough to tackle off road situations. It has different drive modes that lets you adjust the ride to the terrain. You know Touareg has been one popular car for towing things around and it retains that expertise! The car has many intelligent features like a lane keeping system that doesn’t like it if you choose to keep your hands off the steering wheel. It can read speed limit signs and adjust the speeds of cruise control system automatically.
If there is any issue that one could think of it is just that the steering gets a tad unpredictable and numb at times. But it makes up for such niggles with superior comfort, space, design and tech. Volkswagen Touareg is an SUV worth considering if you are in the market for a high end SUV.
