Ramadan : UAE announces timings for public schools

UAE Ministry of Education announced Ramadan timings for public schools.

MOEducationUAE tweeted approved timings for public schools during the holy month for students, teaching and administrative staff.
The following are the school timings:

Kindergarten: from 8:30am to 12pm.
– Cycle 1 (boys): from 8am to 12:35pm.
– Cycle 1 (girls): from 9am to 1:35pm.
– Cycle 2 and secondary (boys): from 8am to 1:20pm.
– Cycle 2 and secondary (girls): from 9am to 2:20pm.

Additionally, the ministry mentioned that kindergarten teaching and administrative staff will work from 8am to 1pm, while for Cycles 1, 2 and secondary school, the staff timings will be the same as for students.

Earlier, Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority had announced school timings for the holy month. Students in Dubai will have shorter school days during Ramadan, according to a circular sent to schools by KHDA. 

The school day during Ramadan will start between 8am to 8.30am and finish between 1pm to 1.30pm, with shorter breaks as required. Schools should ensure that the school timings should not exceed five hours.
