T Rajendar has come out openly criticising actor Vishal, who is also the general secretary of the association of Tamil movie artists, Nadikar Sangam. He was talking to the media on the issue of protests raised by the theatre owners in TamilNadu. He said none of the promises that Vishal had made before the election to Producers Council have been met so far.

Vishal’s biggest guarantee was that he will put an end to Tamil Rockers, the infamous pirate website that lets even new Tamil movies to be downloaded, but is apparently still growing despite some arrests. Rajendar mocked Vishal by saying that he had played this ingenious detective role in ‘Thupparivalan’,but couldn’t transfer those skills to finish off the pirate website. He accused Vishal of making decisions in a dictatorial and autocratic manner and said the key decisions are never discussed among other group members.
Vishal had filed complaints against Tamil rockers and a few arrests did happen, but Tamil rockers’ network is wider and with admins sitting abroad, police have not been able to shut them down completely. It will be interesting to see where this current verbal spat is headed to. One can expect Vishal to hit back at Rajendar soon.
