BJP has crossed hundred in Karnataka, much more from the 40 in 2013. Amidst scathing attack by the Congress, the massacring of the RSS workers in coastal Karnataka, the divisive policies by siddaramaiah, the glorious win by Bharatiya Janata Party is an ultimate
victory to the silent campaigning done by the RSS. Amit Shah’s rise as the King Maker and Narendra Modi’s thunderous presence reaped its full benefit in Karnataka thanks to the disciplined work by 50,000 of RSS Swayamsevaks at the grassroots level.BJP’s rise as a strong Hindutwa power in the coastal Karnataka region and North Karnataka is because of this “man-to-man marking” technique in campaign followed by RSS. When siddaramaiah for the benefit of vote bank divided Lingayat Community, RSS stood strongly against that and put forward the inclusive idea of ‘Akhanda Hindu Samaj'(Unified Hindu Society).Lingayats are historically the worshippers of Lord Shiva. Basavanna was a saint belonging to that community and he has strong followers. Congress wanted a rift between the community through pitching the followers of Basavanna against other Lingayats which has now got a heavy slap from the community. Nearing the elections Amit Shah visited Lingayat Matts, and put forward a question ‘a special religion status or CM?’.The Lingayat community has chosen the latter, but we have to closely watch the further progress which will ratify Yedurappa, a prominent Lingayat to the CM seat.JDS under H.D.Kumaraswamy stands as a trump card to be taken by the BJP and the Congress. Even H.D.Kumaraswamy has declared himself to be the next CM, much after the declaration of jubilant BJP leaders hailing B.S.Yedurappa as the CM. So we have to see the further evolution to know who will rule the state, as Congress has still got a chance to tie up with JDS which in current circumstances will be an unwise decision from the part of JDS. But we should not forget the rise of BJP, which is magnificent and all credits for that should be given to their parent organisation RSS. As an organisation RSS is independent and swayamsevaks are not issued any directions but naturally, as a swayamsevak, they are destined to oppose political parties that are against nationalism, Hindutwa, Hindu Society and the Sangh ideology. There was a mass discontent among the RSS cadres against the siddaramaiah government which followed a slow pace in the investigations to the murders of RSS cadres in coastal Karnataka belt were the Popular Front of India (PFI) and Socialist Democratic Party of India(SDPI) are strong. Mysterious death of a 19 year old Hindu boy Paresh Mehta and an alleged molestation of a Hindu girl by two Muslim miscreants had created a vedge in the Honnavar region of coastal Karnataka. Though the Hindutwa outfits there have raised Paresh Mehta as their martyr, his father clarified that he did not belong to any outfit or party. But his father alleged that his son was killed by Muslim miscreants as a follow up to an altercation involving an accident. The coastal area of Karnataka thanks to the PFI and the SDPI witnessed a bout of violent attacks between two communities were the RSS stood for the Hindus. In all these cases siddaramaiah government took a lenient stand towards the PFI and SDPI, the new form of banned Islamic fringe organisation SIMI. This also served as a fuel for the RSS cadre to stand united behind Amit Shah and Modi headed BJP. From the ashes, if anything has made BJP rise to a prominent power in 22 states and will more in future, it is the disciplined RSS cadre and their silent work. While the Left and the Congress through their IT cadres were busy devising bizarre stories on Fascism and minority hunt by RSS, the workaholic RSS cadres worked among the people and grabbed victory for their party. Hope this time won’t witness ‘anti-voting machine’ roars.
