Karnataka’s ‘Nataka’ is continuing as a lot of action took place even at midnight yesterday. Supreme Court said it was not in favour of stopping B S yeddyurappas swearing in as Karnataka Chief minister. Congress and JD(S) kept on trying to stall BJP from forming government.

A three judge bench of A K Sikri , S A Binde and Ashok Bhushan said “As far as swearing in is concerned, we are not restraining it, but we are making it subject to the outcome of the case” .
Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for BJP, said that the number of days given to Yeddyurappa to prove his majority can be debated after two days. Government and BJP council reported that they are ready to conduct a floor test in 7 days. Abhishek Manu Singhvi,representing Congress said Governor negated democracy by not calling Cong-JD(S) combine. He said giving 15 days to prove majority was something unheard of. He added that Supreme Court can restrain the governor from inviting a a party to form govermnent and that it has been done before.But Supreme Court observed that restraining Governor’s order might create a constitutional vacuum in the state.
We are still not sure if BJP has the numbers but union minister Prakash Javedkar said “Definitely we have the numbers, You will see it”
