What if you consume some food unintentionally during fast ?

Is it okay to swallow saliva during fast ?

You need to abstain from drinking and eating completely and swallowing saliva is not considered as drinking. So that doesn’t break your fast.

Is it okay to look at food ?

It’s completely okay but then you would do yourself a great favour if you don’t. When you are controlling your mind and body and abstaining from food and drinks , last thing you want is a delicious temptation.

Is it okay if others eat in front of Muslims while fasting ?

There isn’t a rule to this case but it’s a matter of empathy. When someone is deprived of food for many long hours, perhaps you don’t want to eat in front of them. But may be there are situations where you can’t help it and your muslim friend will be okay with it.

Is swimming allowed during fasting ?

Swimming as an activity has no ban on fasting days but then when you swim you also run the risk of water entering your mouth. So may be it isn’t a wise move.
