This isn’t the first time Samsung is doing it and it certainly won’t be the last. Their ads are bitterly sarcastic and mocks the Apple brand way too often. In their latest ad, Samsung is out all guns blazing trolling iPhones. There is nothing new here and once again its about an iPhone user eventually getting sick of it and upgrading to a Samsung phone and this time its their latest Samsung Galaxy S9.

The ad shows a lady who cannot pull up her boarding pass in time as her phone is too slow to load it. Which phone? iPhone 6. The phone tortures her again in the flight when she cannot tune in to her entertainment even after plugging her headphones. She enviously watches her co-passenger enjoying a video on his Samsung branded phone next to her. Once she is landed, her phone somehow caused a terrible mixup that she entered an Uber cab that someone else had booked.
At the end of it all, the lady decided that enough is enough and heads to an Apple Store to get her phone upgraded. The employee there tells her she can disable the performance management option and restore fast performance but she will run the risk of the phone getting switched off. The ad is all about this Apple’s recent decision to throttle performances of iPhones containing old batteries. But it is absurd why the employee didn’t ask her to change her batteries. The lady, as it happens in all Samsung ads finds her salvation in the new Samsung Phone.
The ad is just another one in the long list of ads that Samsung has tried along the same line, but somehow this one has fallen a little off the target. What do you think about the new ad? Also which side you’re on? Apple or Samsung ?
