Government Officer’s Bizzare Explanation for Absence : Says he is the tenth Avatar of Lord Vishnu

Writing leave letters is nothing new for people working in offices. Sometimes you fake the reason for your absence, sometimes there is genuine cause, but in a letter that really stretches our imagination, a Gujarat Government official has stated an unusual reason for his absence. He claimed that he is Kalki, the tenth avatar of Lord Mahavishnu and that he cannot make it to the office because he is conducting a penance to change the global conscience.

Ramesh Chandra Fefar, superintending engineer with Sardar Sadovar Punarvasvat Agency ( looks after rehabilitation of Sardar Sadovar Project affected Persons), is the man who made this bizzare claim but he thinks his penance is hitting it’s target as the country is getting good rains. ‘Even if you don’t believe, I am indeed the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and I will prove it in coming days. I realised that I am Kalki Avatar when I was in my office in March 2010. Since then, I am having divine powers’ he said while talking to media.

Fefar replied to a show cause notice served to him stating that he cannot come to the office as he is busy with the penance. ‘I am doing penance at home by entering into fifth dimension to change the global conscience….I can’t do such penance sitting in office’

According to the notice served to him Fefar has only attended the office on 16 days during the last eight months. The notice said that because of his absence work is getting hampered.
