Swearing in ceremony postponed to Wednesday, as per Congress request.

The swearing in Ceremony of H.D.Kumaraswamy as the Karnataka CM scheduled to be conducted on Monday has been postponed to Wednesday. As Monday is the death anniversary of former Indian PM Sri. Rajiv Gandhi, Congress appealed to JD(S) for the date change.

Meanwhile, H.D.Kumaraswamy made clear he sent a letter to the governor for inviting him to form a government in Karnataka. The Swearing-in Ceremony will take place in Shreekandeerava Stadium on Wednesday.

The two parties are having negotiations on the ministry to be formed. The deputy CM post is going to be given to Congress leader G.Parameshvar.

The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee,RJD leader Thejaswi Yadav, DMK leader M.K.Stalin, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu and other dignitaries as invited by the Congress-JDS coalition.

B.S.Yedurappa’s resignation without waiting for the confidence voting paved way for the Congress-JD(S) alliance to come to power. The BJP had to accept their failure as they were given only 28 hours to conduct an opinion polling and prove their majority. Due to the strong defence by the Congress, BJP’s idea to slice away the MLAs failed.

B.S.Yedurappa resigned from the assembly after giving a seemingly emotional speech. He submitted his resignation letter to the Governor and the governor accepted it.
