Now the new entrants from Maruti will have Tyre Pressure Monitoring System(TPMS) as an optional accessory. The dealers will fit the new feature in the cars. Earlier Maruti was not ready to provide TPMS to its popular models like Swift, Dzire, and Brezza. As the vehicle sector has become more competitive, they are having a rethink on this.
TPMS enables real-time monitoring of the pressure of 4 tyres. The driver will be intimated of a fall in tyre pressure by the system. Running with a less pressured tyre may result in its explosion.TPMS is a panacea to that type of accidents.
The TPMS is offered optionally which can be bought at a payment of Rs.12,990.As part of the monitoring system, 5 sensors will be added to each tyres. The driver gets real-time info through a display specially fitted to the dashboard.
