Qualifier 1 was a match worthy of being a qualifier. The best two teams of the season clashed to produce some of the best cricket of the tournament and it was Chennai who survived the scare and booked it’s place in the final. SRH will now play the winner of RR-KKR match.

CSK after opting to bowl first, soon had the opposition in trouble. The track in the Wankhede had something in it for the bowlers and except for Shardul Thakur, who’s 4 overs went for 50, every other bowler returned good figures. Had it not been for the lusty hitting of Carlos Braithwaite(43 off 29) in the end, SRHs score card would have suffered more. Kane Williamson and Yusuf Pathan made 24 each. But then SRH arguably has the best bowling attack of the season and on a pitch like this, it wasn’t going to be easy for CSK.
SRHs bowlers put up a spirited performance and CSKs games batting lineup collapsed soon. Faf Du plessi(67 off 42) kept one end and except for one partnership with Suresh Raina, there was no other major partnerships. The middle order completely collapsed but luckily Faf found some company in Shardul Thakur who scored 15 of 5 balls and helped him finish the match.
The eliminator between KKR and RR will be on tomorrow.
