Make this Middle Eastern recipe in 3 simple steps.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups kataifi / thin seviyan
- 1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup double cream
For Sugar Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tbsp rose essence
METHOD
- Make the sugar syrup,add sugar in a pan.
- Add water and let the sugar dissolve in the water. Stir well.
- Once the sugar syrup reaches the thick consistency(gulab jamun syrup consistency) switch off the stove and then add the rose essence.
- Mix Kataifi with sugar syrup and then divide it into 2 parts, one is for topping and another part is for the base.
- Take orange food colour and butter to grease the tin.
Setting the layer of Kunafa with Kataifi.
- Spread a layer of Kataifi without the sugar syrup. Spread it Evenly over the greased tin.
- Add the Mozzarella Cheese over the kataifi layer. You can add any grated cheese on top of the kataifi.
- Apply a thin layer of double cream over the cheese.
- Apply another layer of kataifi without syrup and press it slightly.

- Now add the remaining sugar syrup over the Kunafa. Now bake it for 15 mins about 180 degrees celsius.
- Kunafa Recipe is ready.
