Despite it being Ramadan and the orders being passed by the Center to maintain peace during the Holy Month of Fasting, firing still continues at the borders.
For the past week or so the Pakistan Army and the BSF’s were engaged in a firing and motor shelling which resulted in the death of an 8-month-old infant.
The ceasefire took place at Arnia and R.S Pura sector, Jammu Kashmir. The citizens of the Arnia area have been asked to move to safety. The local administration has set up shelter camps for residents moving out from the border areas.
