IIFA back to Bangkok, Thailand, a decade after as Bangkok gears up to host the awards show again this year. The last weekend of June will witness a mélange of glitz and glamour with Bollywood’s finest talent, global dignitaries, world media, fans and enthusiasts arriving at Thailand from across the globe.
Bollywood celebrities Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Dia Mirza, Shahid Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan were participated by dignitaries at the official IIFA press conference in Delhi as they formally announced the venue for 2018.
NEXA IIFA Awards will occur at Bangkok’s entertainment scene, Siam Niramit, which hosts the country’s most-popular theatre production and a must-see show.
Andre Timmins, director, Wizcraft International, the producers and creators of the IIFAs said, “We are pleased to be taking IIFA back to Bangkok after 10 years. The 19th edition kick-started on April 27 where the IIFA voting weekend saw members of the Indian film industry vote for their peers.
Nominations
Vidya Balan-starrer Tumhari Sulu is riding on a high with a maximum of seven nominations. The movie has been nominated under Best Picture, Best Direction and Best Story for Suresh Triveni, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for Vidya, Performance in a Supporting Role (Female) for Neha Dhupia, Performance in a Supporting Role (Male) for Vijay Maurya and Best Music Direction. Newton comes a close second with five nominations.
