With much celebrations and attendance of the political leaders, HD Kumaraswamy has sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
But the newly appointed minister is waiting before taking big decisions like waiving off farmer loans
The Karnataka Legislative Assembly is scheduled to meet on May 25 for the floor test of the newly formed Congress-JD(S) coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
The first session of the newly formed assembly is set to meet at 12:15 PM. Besides the floor test, the election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker is to take place as well.

The swearing-in of the Chief Minister Kumaraswamy and the Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwar was conducted in the presence of a galaxy of eminent leaders who showcased their unity against the BJP with the hopes of building an anti-BJP bloc for the 2019 elections.
With the fall of BJP’s three-day-old government headed by B S Yeddyurappa on May 19, Governor Vajubhai Vala had invited the Kumaraswamy-led coalition to form the government and prove its majority in the House within 15 days.
The Congress-JD(S) coalition, which claims the support of 117 members, has decided on Congress’ Ramesh Kumar, a former minister, as its candidate for the speaker’s post, while the deputy speaker’s post has been given to a JD(S) candidate.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated Kumaraswamy on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
