When the craze for 3G was just catching up in India, Micromax was one of the phone brands that made merry. Company released a series of affordable 3G phones and even came to a stage where it threatened bigger brands like Samsung in India. But the shift from 3G to 4G was quick and Micromax didn’t adapt quick enough. But now the company is back with an affordable new phone, named ‘Bharat Go’ and could effectively challenge Reliance Jio Phone.

Bharat Go is an Android Oreo based smartphone which is released in collaboration with Bharati Airtel. Although the price is 4399, with a 200 Rs cash back offer form Airtel, you can bring down the cost effectively to 2399. That’s the closest someone has come in offering a challenge to Reliance Jio phones.
The main highlight of the phone is its Operating System. Android Oreo Go edition is a lighter version of Android Oreo and is optimised to run efficiently on devices using much of hardware resources. So even with phones having less than 1 GB ram, it can deliver good performance. Most of the apps in the phone will be a Go Version of the regular ones, like YouTube Go, Gmail Go etc
The phone is powered by MediaTek quad core processor with 1 GB of ram and has a 4.5 inch screen with a 5 mp camera both on front and rear. The phone offers 8GB of onboard storage and has a 2000 mah battery. The phone will support VolTE and dual sim, two features customers cannot live without these days.
