Rashid Khan didn’t just have a good day, but he had one of the best all round performances of IPL scoring 34 off 10 balls before returning figures of 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.His performance took SRH to the final on Sunday to be played against CSK, while KKRs spirited journey ended tonight. Score SRH 174 for 7 in 20 overs. KKR 161 for 9 in 20 overs. SRH won by 13 runs.

Earlier, put in to bat,SRH looked well poised to post a total beyond 180. It’s openers Saha 35(27) and Dhawan 34(24) combined well to form a strong opening partnership but once it was broken, SRHs soft underbelly in it’s brittle middle order was exposed. Williamson fell cheaply for 3 runs and Shakib or Hooda couldn’t force the issue. The team required it’s big hitters, Yusuf Pathan and Brathwaite to fire , but neither of them did and with 2 overs to go, it looked like SRH will post somewhere around 150. But then Rashid Khan showed his batting skills, scoring a whirlwind 34 off 10 balls and destroying the bowling figures of Prasidh Krishna(4-0-56-0)
KKR began the chase well, but once again Rashid Khan was all over them picking up key wickets along with effecting a run out of Nitish Rana. With Andre Russell not fully fit, KKR ran out of steam to chase the score in a pressure game. KKR can take heart from the fact that they have come this far with a lot of their players missing/ injured.
CSK will meet SRH on Sunday. When the two teams met yesterday, Chennai had won on the merit of Faf Du plessis half century. The final looks like a mouth watering prospect.
