On Sunday, in Jammu Kashmir, a CRPF vehicle was met with an accident where 19 jawans were injured.
Was it an accident or were they ambushed? The apparent rumour was that the CRPF vehicle was under the attack of the stone pelters in the Valley.
But the Jammu Kashmir police refuted the reports that a CRPF vehicle met with an accident due to stone-pelting in Bemina area of Srinagar.

IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi, according to a news agency, had claimed that “some miscreants pelted stones” on the vehicle, causing the accident.
However, SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that based on CCTV camera footage it is clear that there was no stone pelting going on in the area.
He said the mishap occurred as the CRPF driver lost control over the vehicle.
“The CCTV footage was procured and it is clearly seen that the driver lost control which resulted in the mishap,” SSP said, adding the 19 troopers were injured in the incident.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered.
