Rs.14 lakhs of foreign fund received by India in last 4 years;better from 2010-14

The economic diplomacy of Modi Government finally has yielded its results it seems with the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s announcement that there has been a 43% increase in the funds received between 2010 and 2014. In the last 4 years, India has received Rs.14 lakh crore foreign fund.

At a press conference, while listing out her ministry’s achievements she opined that the economic diplomacy had become a key policy in the overall functioning of the government for last 4 years. She said that India had received Rs. 14 lakh crore from abroad between May 2014 and February 2018.

Swaraj citing at the 43% increase in the funds received between 2010 and 2014, praised the foreign policy under the Narendra Modi regime. She also acknowledged her Ministry’s pivotal role in the implementation of several key schemes of the Modi government. Sushma Swaraj brought to attention her ministry’s timely interference which had saved many from punishments in several countries and also rescued thousands from troubled areas. She said that her focus had been to transform the External Affairs Ministry to a people-centric one.
