During his interaction with the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme, the PM advised Kabata not to depend on any middlemen and write to him at once she faced any problem with respect to the scheme.

Kabata told PM that earlier she had been cooking with firewood and that took hours and that after she got the LPG connection she was able to complete her cooking within one hour and spend time with her children, quoted PTI. From Narendra Modi government’s flagship scheme Ujjwala Yojana, about 25lakh women have got benefits.

Kabata, a tribal woman, on her chat with Modi told the difficulties she had to face during the rainy season when she could not prepare food on the ordinary Chulah(earthen stove using firewood). During that season her children would remain hungry, she recounted sadly. She is happy now as now the problem is gone thanks to the Ujjwala Yojana.

“Suchsmita Kabata from Mayurbhanj in Odisha talks about how Ujjwala has transformed her life. She says that due to Ujjwala Yojana she cooks faster and spends more time with her children. She also says now her children do not go hungry during monsoons and she can cook new things”, PM Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter about his interaction with Kabata.

Prime Minister had tweeted earlier about the massive social transformation brought by the Ujjwala scheme which benefited millions of women majority of them SC, ST and OBC.
