When you hear a bomb threat, the immediate reaction is to flee the spot without a second thought. But then if you are on a flight that is just taking off, would you do the same ? Apparently people would take off even from an aircraft that is taking off.
At least 10 passengers on a flight that was preparing to take off from Borneo island were injured, most of them with broken bones and head wounds as a man created panic about a bomb that never existed. Some people slid down the right engine, some landed on the tarmac as they tried to save themselves from fake bomb. see video.

Frantinus Nirigi, a 26 year old man was telling a flight attendant that there was a bomb on the Lion Air Boeing 737, which was to carry 189 passengers to Jakarta on Monday night. Some of the passengers overheard this conversation and soon panic ensued, said West Kalimantan Police spokesman Nanang Purnomo. There was a thorough search of the airplane later and no explosive was found.

Once Nirigi had made the bomb claim, another passenger soon broke the emergency exits letting the passengers to exit the flight. He and Nirigi were arrested. Flight attendant Cindy told the authorities that the passengers were pushing each other after the captain asked them to leave the plain. ” “I asked passengers to immediately leave the plane calmly and orderly, but instead they pushed each other and scrambled out of the plane,” she said.
The flight eventually departed for Jakarta after a three hours delay.
