Amidst the State Government’s message to ‘don’t worry’ another person was dead in Kozhikode due to Nipah infection. Rasin, a native of Naduvannoor in Kozhikode is the recent addition to the NiV victims. His death has made the toll reach 17. Among these 16 deaths have been confirmed NiV affected. Sabith’s case, who was the first affected, has not been yet confirmed as the samples have not been sent till now.

one person was confirmed of Nipah infection yesterday. The toll of confirmed with Niv virus is 18, in which 17 are already dead. A person who had been confirmed of Nipah is under treatment in Kozhikode Medical College. Two people suspected of the infection was admitted to the Medical College hospital yesterday.
