It looks like finding new alliances against BJP is the new trend of Indian Politics and it’s spreading fast. After the news of Congress contemplating to join hands with BSP on MadhyaPradesh, the latest events are centred around a possible Aam Aadmi Party and Congress alliance.
AAP leader Dilip Pandey had claimed that the Congress had got in touch with for a coalition ahead of Lok Sabha elections in 2019. Having led so many protests against Congress in the past, it will be interesting to see if AAP will join hands with Congress or not.

The chief of Delhi Congress, Ajay Maken didn’t dismiss the news of such discussions. He said there are chats about the issue but stressed that the Delhi unit is not in favour of it. He also emphasized that AAP has failed outside Delhi and was keen to make alliance with Congress.
“They (Aam Aadmi Party ) are nowhere outside Delhi. They have failed on all front(s) be it sealing or water. No development has taken place in Delhi in three years. We supported Arvind Kejriwal government in 2013. The decision damaged our party. We were left with zero seats in national capital, ” said Maken.
Meanwhile AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey said Congress leaders made contact with AAP asking their support for elections in Haryana , Punjab and Delhi(loksabha).
Recently AAP had appointed 5 Lok Sabha in-charges for parliamentary constituencies but left two seats which gave rise to speculation that two seats could have been possibly kept for Congress. It will also be interesting to see If Rahul gandhi will approve any such alliance.
Currently all the 7 LokSabha seats in Delhi are with BJP. With the current trend it is possible that the next LokSabha election will have BJP on one side and all the other parties on the other.
