It was a charity game played between West Indies and World X1 on the iconic Lords ground, but does that mean the commentator can just come out and stand at the slips with a mic ? I am not sure and so are a lot of people who watched the match.

Nasser Hussain, while standing on slips conducted interview with wicket keeper Luke Ronchi. Later he was seen at mid-on and deep in the field as well. He caught bowlers at a break and spoke to them and then conversed with the physio who had come to look after a struggling Chris Gayle.
While a few of the fans seemed to have enjoyed the out of the box thinking most people saw it as an abuse of the law. See how people reacted on Twitter.

Nasser Hussain, on commentary, at first slip for the opening over. This is why these games – wonderful as they are – should never have international status. #WIvRoW pic.twitter.com/T3caRzOEEA

Really enjoyed the #WIvWorldXI game and kudos to @SkyCricket for making their feed available for free…but i hope to your deity of choice that we never see that Nasser Hussain experiment montrosity on a cricket ground again! #shudder

Okay ICC, Nasser Hussain commentating from behind the keeper/slips/players is not innovation or creativity.. Do not introduce this to international or franchise cricket. #WXIvWI
