Honour Killing in Kerala: Police to re-enact the Murder for Evidence

The honour killing of Kevin was a wake-up call to the conscience of Kerala and a question mark over the credibility of law enforcing systems. The least police can do now is to investigate the case properly , nab all the culprits and get them a fitting verdict. In a move that suggests that the Police are in to it, they have decided to stage all the scenes of Kevin’s murder right from the beginning of the chain of events.

The Police are planning to take the culprits in the early morning for taking evidence, around the same time Kevin was abducted to gain clarity on how the plot was executed. Police will thus know exactly what happened between the journey from Mannanam to Thenmala. They will have sketch experts in the team who will make detailed sketches of the entire event. The police strength will be fortified in Mannanam and Thenmala as one can expect a huge number of people to be amassed there when the culprits are brought there.

Neenu , victim’s wife has held firm on her first statement, reiterating the involvement of her parents in the case. She said Kevin couldn’t have been murdered without their knowledge. She added that the major impediment in their marriage has always been the difference in economic status of both families.
