With all the 14 accused in the alleged honour killing of Kevin P Joseph in Kottayam landing in the police net, the mother of Neenu Chacko, whom the victim was about to marry, was fearing arrest.
Neenu’s mother Rahna is likely to move the Kerala High Court on Monday seeking anticipatory bail, sources said. The police may slap her with charges of criminal conspiracy.
Inspector general Vijay Sakhare who supervises the probe said Rahna was under the police radar. The police believe that she is in Punalur in Kollam district. However, she has not been listed as an accused yet.
It is suspected that Rahna’s husband Chacko and son Syanu Chacko would have found her a safe hideout before they surrendered before the police. She was found at a house in Thenmala last.
