Narendra Modi and Amit Shah may have already created their triumph card for 2019 Loksabha election. Reports say they are contemplating to bring back senior leader L K Advani, who was sidelined considering his age. Advani is already in his 90s.

Another leader Murali Manohar Joshi also may get a seat in the 2019 poll. Advani won from Gandhi nagar, Gujarat in 2014. He was instrumental in building this party and was deemed to be a primary candidate for Prime Minister’s chair once. Later Joshi and Advani didn’t get a place in the higher Parliamentary board and was instead given a place in an advisory body called Marg Nirdeshak Mandal. The body has never held a meeting so far.
Last year, BJP had reportedly set rule disallowing its members to contest elections after they turn 75. However, in the recently concluded Karnataka elections, the BJP relaxed the age bar for its CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa.
Narendra Modi has opined that senior leaders should be given some consideration while deciding candidates. There are unconfirmed reports that Modi and Shah had met Advani in his residence at Prithviraj road, Delhi. With BJP losing it’s allies it will need all the support it can gather from senior leaders like Advani
