The trailer of Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, the biography of actor Sanjay Dutt, was quite special. It looked as though all aspects of his life was included in the movie,but something was noted for its absence. One of the most famous episode in Sanjay’s life, his affair with the actress Madhuri Dixit.
In the 90s, through movies like Saajan and Khalnayak, the duo was establishing themselves was a crowd favourite and their off screen romance too created some buzz. But they never came out in open talking about their relationship.

Regarding the movie, there are some unconfirmed reports that there was one remark about their affair, but was later cancelled on Madhuri’s request. The report says that there was a scene where Sanjay is calling a 90s actress when he is arrested, but her mom picks up the call and says she doesn’t want any association with the actor. This was probably a fleeting reference to Madhuri Dixit. This scene was retained in the film until Dixit came to know about it and insisted that there shouldn’t be any reference about her in the film. The scene was cancelled then.
Sanju, the most anticipated release of this year so far, will be released on june 29.
