Fire instances are a place of chaos and confusion. Everyone is in a panic mode to save lives of their own and others and the situation needs to be controlled. It was quite the dramatic situation when a fire caught in South Carolina apartment building and seven firetrucks had to call to control the situation.
Firefighters worked hard to put out the flames but the rescue of a baby thrown from the building and being caught by an unknown officer was the highlight of this rescue operation.

The 11-month old child was dropped by a mother fearing the fire that was rising and the black smoke reaching her flat. She held out the baby out of her window as the raging fire approached.

An unknown man stood below, his arms held out to catch the baby. After a moment of hesitation, the woman did drop the child and the man caught it effortlessly. The mother was sure they could not leave the building from the door and thus took to the window.
Her child was in safe hands as the supposed mystery man was actually a former marine officer. And his identity is not yet known but he is receiving all praises for his good work.
