American President Donal Trump on June 8 said that he was looking forward to inviting North Korean premier Kim Jong Un to the White House if the Singapore summit on Tuesday went well. But he cautioned that he would walk away from the promise if the proposed goals were not achieved in the summit. The goal mentioned by Trump is the giving up of its nuclear weapons by North Korea.

Trump made the cautious remarks during Japanese President Shinzo Abe’s meeting with him at White House to discuss June 12 summit. Abe’s visit is a part of a furore of diplomatic activities in the run-up to the summit in order to safeguard the interests of respective countries.

When Trump was asked by the reporters whether he would invite the North Korean Leader to the White House or his Mar-a-lago resort in Florida, he replied,”Maybe we’ll start with the White House”.

He considered reaching at an end of the Korean war as an easy part of the summit. What happened after that was a matter of prime importance for him, That is, the giving up of nuclear weapons by North Korea and he reiterated that he would walk away if that matter did not happen.

Trump said that as he was totally prepared to talk it out, a walkout might not be necessary. Trump hoped that “Kim Jong-un wants to do something that is going to be great for his people, and also great for his family, and great for himself,”Anyhow he invited everyone’s attention towards his walking out of the Iran Nuclear Deal which was not against the people of Iran but against the Iranian government as they had not been paying their attention to the Mediterranean. He felt that Iran was no longer looking so much to the happenings in Syria, Yemen and other places.he also expressed hope at solving the Iran issue although the country had been “different” in last 3 months.

When the media persons asked about Kim’s letter, Trump said that it was just a courtesy letter and nothing more and that he felt it nice.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, later at White House said that Kim had talked to him personally about his willingness to denuclearise. But he refrained from classifying that willingness of North Korea coming closer to the US vision.

Rubbishing the need for any preparation for the meet, Trump said that he was well prepared and didn’t want any more preparations. He told,” It’s about attitude, it’s about willingness to get things done”.
