Remya made her acting debut in the 2000 Malayalam film Sayahnam as a child artist. she went on to play minor supporting roles, before playing a starring role in the 2006 film Aanachandam.

The actress, who is busy with her Tamil and Kannada projects reveals that she is currently enjoying her hectic work schedule and marriage can always wait. ‘I am now eagerly waiting for the release of my Tamil film and my debut in Kannada. I prefer to concentrate on my work and I think marriage will happen when it has to!’
An active member of Women in Cinema Collective Remya has always been vocal about gender discrimination in the film industry, a reason, a section of fans think, is causing Remya her chances in Mollywood.
