Threat via letters to Fadnavis over anti-Maoist operations

As per the information received from the sources in the State Home Department of Maharashtra, CM Devendra Fadnavis had received two threat letters allegedly from Maoist Organisations which were handed over to the police.

The letters which were received by the Chief Minster’s Office a week ago came after the anti-Naxal operations carried out by Maharashtra’s anti-Maoist force C-60 in Gadchiroli resulted in the death of 39 Maoists. The letters have been handed over to the police for further investigations.

The Home Ministry sources said that both the threat letters mentioned the Gadchiroli encounters and also threatened Fadnavis and his family members.
