At a recent fashion show in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah, drones were used to show off designer dresses, instead of models. Videos of designer dresses flying mid-air, suspended from unmanned robotic devices have created a flutter on social media.
A similar video has gone viral on social media where at a fashion show, models were replaced by drones.

The presentation was intended as a gimmick and designed to make the show stand out to buyers in the fashionable coastal city, Washington Post reported. However, in a country where women are still bound by conservative ideas about modesty, the move backfired.

While some users called out the organisers for swapping women with drones, others lampooned the video likening the floating dresses with ghosts or something out of a horror movie.
They wanted to ensure that the show was appropriately done, reportedly. However, this is not the first time that drones have been used at a show. Earlier in February, drones were used in Milan Fashion Week, carrying handbags. It had created quite a flutter back then
