Thalassery Style Chicken Sandwich Recipe For Suhur

Thalassery Chicken Sandwich are very famous in Kannur to Calicut areas. its easy and can be made with any combinations.

Ingredients

  • 14 bread slices
  • 2 chicken breast pieces (around 2 cup after cooking)
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp pepper powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 ½ tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 ½ tsp chopped ginger
  • 2 green chilli
  • curry leaves
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp garam masala powder
  • you can add pepper if you need
  • 2-3 tbsp oil
  • 4 eggs
  • salt to taste

Preparation

  • First cook chicken by adding ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, salt and some water
  • Once the cooked chicken cooled enough to handle, make small pieces with your hand or knife. Keep aside

  • In a pan add 1 tbsp oil add onion, green chilli, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and salt. Saute for the 3-4 minute at medium-high flame add powdered spices saute it well.
  • After 2 minutes add chicken with cooked water. Mix well let water get to dry. Stir till all the water dried up.
  • Once the chicken masala cooled spread this on a bread slice then place another bread slice on top of this. Press both bread with your palm
  • Meantime mix eggs (first mix two eggs when it finished mix remaining)and salt (you can add pepper powder also) in a ball
  • Press the sandwich with your palm and then dip it in beaten

  • Place this on a hot frying pan with added oil. Cook in low flame. Press with spatula to avoid masala coming out while you flipping it. Let one side turn into golden brown color then flip over and cook the other side. You can cook sides by holding it.

  • Serve with hot tea or coffee
