In an eye-opening event, a huge Tollywood prostitution racket was recently busted by US Federal authorities in Chicago, US. Businessman and film producer Modugumudi Kishan along with his wife Chandra were arrested for helming this racket that also allegedly involves top South actresses.
Another Tollywood actress, Sri Reddy, known for carrying a topless protest against casting couch, revealed that she too was approached by the couple. Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani too agreed.

The actress was quoted saying by News 18, “Even I was approached. They have coordinators in Hyderabad. When people do not get offers here in the industry, they go to the US where they are lured into prostitution. They will arrange visa and everything else for you. Artists are paid anything between $1000 and $10,000, depending on their popularity.” She also added that everyone in the industry is quite aware of this practice and yet they turn a blind eye towards it.
The couple reportedly lures the actresses and advertise them for sex in conferences and cross-cultural events. Galrani too revealed the truth saying, “Fact is that it is not a new thing going in the US. Mostly it is C or D-grade artists, who are not lead actors but do supporting roles in films… they fall into this trap. Sometimes they are asked to come for a dance performance, where they are lured with more money. Other times its mutual agreement also.”
According to reports, a 42-page charge sheet has been filed against the couple at the district court of Chicago.
