Arvind Kejriwal who is on a strike against the Central government has found support from different corners. He was on a sit-in protest at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal’s residence for six days, demanding that the “strike” by IAS officers be called off soon. The Chief Ministers of four non-BJP ruled states came to express their solidarity to their Delhi counterpart. The ministers urged the intervention of Prime Minister to resolve the crisis.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Karnataka C.M H.D Kumaraswamy and Kerala C M Pinarayi Vijayan who are in Delhi to attend a meeting of NITI Ayog chaired but Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, wrote to Mr Balaji on Saturday that they be allowed to meet Mr Kejriwal. The request was not granted.
The four Chief Ministers had planned to march to Lt Governors house, dropped the idea later. Kerala C.M blamed the attitude of Central Government for everything “This has happened because of the attitude of the central government. The Centre is restricting the federal system, which is a threat to the nation. “

“It’s not correct that the matter hasn’t been solved in four months. Does the LG not have six minutes to meet the Chief Minister who has been on dharna for six days. If this happens in the country’s capital, what about the situation in other states”, asked Ms Banerjee.
Andhra Pradesh C.M Chandrababu Naidu who recently severed ties with B.J.P over the refusal to grant special status to his state said “There is a democratically elected government in Delhi. It must be allowed to function”
Karnataka C.M Kumaraswamy whose swearing in ceremony had become a grand union of all parties against Modi, said the centre should take immediate steps to stop this impasse. “We came here to show support to the Delhi Chief Minister, to save democracy “
Arvind Kejriwal thanked all the four Chief minsiters for their support. “we all will work together to save democracy ” said Delhi C.M.
