Communist Party of India(Marxist) is all set to find a permanent solution to their perennial problem of not getting all the votes of the members of their different organisations. The new tactics involve getting it’s sub organisations- Students Federation of India(SFI) , DYFI, CITU etc in to a series of protests against Narendra Modi led Central Government.
As per party reports,CPI(M) has about 4 lakh members in the state itself and if you add the numbers from other organisations, the number swells beyond 1 crore. DYFI and Mahila Association alone has a membership beyond 1 crore.

In the last Lok Sabha election, Left front finished 4 behind UDF( LDF 8, UDF 12) and if all the members of their organisation had voted, the number could have easily won them more seats. CPI(M) candidates only won 38 lakh votes. The discussions that sprouted from this situation is what led to the realisation of the State Committee that voters are voting for other parties, despite having a primary membership in Left organisations.
Since left fronts position is getting weaker at the national level, it calls for desperate actions at this moment. The series of protests against Modi and even the previous Congress governments is expected to keep the voters closer to the left organisations.
