I am not sure how people judge commentators – Is it the quality of the voice, or the knowledge of the game, experience or what, but if you are looking for a commentary that vibrates with high voltage energy, you need not look beyond this man – Shaiju Damodaran.
Shaiju and his unique brand of commentary really shot in to fame with ISL and the football crazy land of Kerala couldn’t think of watching any match without his voice behind.

Now Anand Mahindra(Chairman of Mahindra Group), is the latest one in the list who is captivated by Shaiju’s high-energy voice with extraordinary punch and catchy one-liners. The man is even getting calls from parents asking if there is a place where their kids could be trained to be brought up as future commentators. Some of them are even forcing Shaiju to start a school of his own teaching the same.

Shaiju explains his own methods as the one that blends information with entertainment. Look at how he explained the result of Brazil – Switzerland match. Brazil had only managed a draw and he signed off by saying “Brazil Fans 1 – Argentina Fans 1”, a sharp pointer to the exultation of Argentina fans, who were hanging their heads in shame after their team’s draw with Iceland
Shaiju knows he has to be careful while making any comments about the Latin American football giants as it can really hurt the sentiments of the fans. The football market in Kerala is ever growing especilally with a strong team in ISL and Shaiju’s Commentory is an added bonus.
