Congress President Rahul Gandhi turns 48 today and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to twitter to extend greetings to Congress President, who is celebrating his first birthday since he became the President of Congress Party. It was last year in December that Rahul Gandhi took the mantle of leadership from his mother Sonia Gandhi who was party’s final word for long 19 years.

P.M Modi wished for the long and healthy life of Rahul Gandhi. “Birthday greetings to Congress president Shri Rahul Gandhi. I pray for his long and healthy life” he tweeted. His wish didn’t include the #HappyBirthdayRahulGandhi which was used by other congress leaders to wish him.

The PM’s wish was posted only hours after Rahul Gandhi targeted the Prime Minister over Arvind Kejriwal’s protest at the Lieutenant Governor’s home in Delhi.
